GREEN LANTERN (1960) (#1-224) (DC) #31 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Green Lantern (1960) #31
"Power Rings for Sale!" is written by John Broome with art by Gil Kane and Sid Greene. A power ring, as charged by the Power Battery on the far-off planet Oa, is easily one of the most powerful weapons in the universe. With the ring's emerald energy nearly any object or force can be brought into instant creation. Green Lanterns that are charged with protecting the innocent are awarded power rings in order to carry out their solemn duties.

So when Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Earth, begins to act erratically and eventually ends up selling duplicate power rings on the streets for $1, that behavior sets off alarms with his best pal Thomas "Pieface" Kalmaku. The Guardians of the Universe are also worried because it appears GL's antics are a symptom of alien mind-control! Also, don't miss the action as our hero stops a mad scientist who tells a city "Pay Up, or Blow Up!"
