GREEN LANTERN (1960) (#1-224) (DC) #213 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Green Lantern (1960) #213
"For Want of a Male...!" is written by Steve Englehart and drawn by Joe Staton and Mark Farmer. Hal (Green Lantern) Jordan is apparently dead. Tricked by a mind-controlled Arisia into following her into deep space without an adequate charge in his power ring, our hero seemingly succumbed easily to a destructive blast from Star Sapphire's starship. Now, the purple energy-wielding villainess and her accomplice, the mental titan known as Hector Hammond, savor their victory over their longtime foe.

With Arisia's mind now a blank after her deadly betrayal, Star Sapphire pulls her body into the ship and immediately makes the GL her slave. But the arrival of the comely super-heroine arouses the interest of the physically paralyzed Hector Hammond who wants Arisia as his own. As the pair of louts bicker over who needs whom the most, Hal Jordan suddenly arrives, revealing that he was aware of their plan all along and took steps to protect himself. But can the Emerald Gladiator stand against two of the galaxy's most powerful criminals alone?
