GHOSTLY TALES (1966) #69 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Ghostly Tales #69
Three terrifying tales of the dark side of life, hosted by the ghost host with the most! First off, businessman Tybalt Tyson has an obsession, namely turning cheap pig iron into gold. A machine he's invented can do just that but now he's got a "Labor Problem" (drawn by Nicholas Alascia). You see, the machine must be operated by a human hand and the gold-making process proves lethal to the operator. So, the enterprising Tyson enlists ghosts to do the work for him. But that doesn't set well with the labor union. Finally, when neither ghosts nor union laborers will do the job for him and he finds he's quickly going broke, Tyson sets his own hand to operating the machine. There's a solid gold box (not a retirement watch) waiting for him when he's through!

Next, in another story drawn by Alascia, airline pilot Tom Payne finds himself wishing "Dream, Dream, Go Away!" The same nightmare of an airliner crashing into the side of mountain, killing all aboard, haunts Tom every night. He finds he can't fly any more until he gets to the bottom of this recurring phantasm. A psychiatrist recommends a week off and Tom's dream goes away for a time, only to return when he goes back to work. Finally, he realizes that it's not him flying the doomed plane in the dream; it's his best pal Don. Determined to change fate, Tom races to the airport through traffic, knocks Don out to prevent him from piloting the aircraft and helps it avoid disaster. Not a bad day's work for a man who died during his high-speed race to the airport. Finally, in a story lavishly illustrated by Steve Ditko, a London barrister is driven mad by the "Music of Murder" sung by a seductive witch he's sworn to defend in court!
