|Plot Synopsis: Ghost Rider (1990) #94|
Final issue. Death of Blackheart. Marvel executive editor Tom Brevoort made it his personal mission after the cancellation of the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider series to ensure that the final two issues eventually see the light of day and here they are. Ghost Rider #93 and #94 wrap up the storyline of Danny and his ancestor Noble Kale who were both possessed at one time by the demon Zarathos and at the mercy of Blackheart, Mephistopheles' diabolical son. In the Underworld, Blackheart is set to wed his demonic maidens Black Rose and Pao Fu off to Noble Kale and of course, set into motion his secretive and vile plans for vengeance as a result.
"The Wedding of the Ghost Rider" to his dual brides (written by Ivan Velez with pencils by Javier Saltares and Mark Texeira) finds him in deadly conflict with Blackheart's other demonic servants: the misery spirit Wallow, the abomination known as Doghead and the fascist wererat Verminus Rex. As Blackheart plays his hand, however, it's the Ghost Rider who gets the last laugh with deadly efficiency. Crowned as the new king of the Underworld, Noble Kale entertains Hela, the Norse Goddess of Death; Pluto, the Lord of Hades and Lord Belasco of the Corrupted. But heavy is the head that wears the crown and even as Danny Ketch and Johnny Blaze, two former Ghost Riders, move on with their lives, Noble Kale knows he's finished as well! "Acabado" is written by Velez with art by Saltares, Texeira and Klaus Janson.
