"The Pied Piper's Double Doom!" is drawn by Carmine Infantino. Guest-starring the Elongated Man. He's back! The musical master of menace who uses melodies with malicious motives. This time around the Pied Piper has found a way to make the Flash and his stretching sleuth friend the Elongated Man, steal for him. The treasures of Tower Town's 17th century historical landmark and a local bank are the villain's targets this time. Using a hypnotic tune, the Pied Piper hypnotizes first Ralph Dibny, the Elongated Man, and then Barry Allen, the Flash into becoming unwitting thieves. When the crime-fighting duo figure out how they've been duped, it'll take an extra twist of cunning to outwit the Pied Piper.

Then, Kid Flash has to use his brain as well as his super-speed to solve the "Mystery of the Matinee Idol!" In Blue Valley, the Whiz Kid is revered as a local hero. During the annual Summer Festival, Kid Flash rides a float as the parade's star attraction. But when an elderly gentlemen collapses from hunger in front of his float, the super-speedy teen finds himself in the middle of a mystery. Shakespearean actor extraordinaire Dexter Myles found little work, and little food, in the age of television. But when two crooks use his oratory skills as a public distraction to cover a jail break, Kid Flash steps in to make sure the thespian's first paying job in years doesn't land him in prison.
