FANTASY MASTERPIECES (1966) #5 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Fantasy Masterpieces (1966) #5
Six stories from Marvel's Golden Age, starring Captain America. First, in "The Ringmaster of Death," drawn by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon, the Star-Spangled Avenger and Bucky face a circus boss whose sentiments run with the Nazi cause. Then Cap and Bucky have to uncover "The Gruesome Secret of the Dragon of Doom!" as Japanese imperialists use a sea-borne horror to attack the American military (originally presented in Captain America #5). In a change of pace, we meet "Mister Gregory and the Ghost!," the story of a rich old skinflint who finds his perfect home is haunted (drawn by Jack Kirby and originally presented in Journey into Mystery #75).

"The Thing from Dimension X" was drawn by Don Heck and originally presented in Strange Tales #80. Poor Dr. Lynwood knew he could create a dimension portal device but all he received was scorn from his employer and his scientist peers. But when he proved his theory, the terrifying creatures who emerged from the rift seemed bent on conquering the Earth. Then, see how "It Fell From the Flying Saucer!," drawn by Kirby and originally presented in Tales to Astonish #31. Finally, Cap and Bucky take on the "Killers of the Bund," Nazi sympathizers on American soil carrying out acts of terrorism and sabotage.
