EIGHTY-PAGE GIANT (1964) #5 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Eighty-Page Giant (1964) #5
Featuring Batman and Robin. Celebrate 25 years of the Dynamic Duo with this 1964 giant collection of some of their most daring exploits. First, the lovely but troubled Selina Kyle returns to her old profession of robbery and Batman must once more solve "The Crimes of the Catwoman!" (story by Edmond Hamilton and art by Sheldon Moldoff). Then, Batman's life story is the subject of a TV show which focuses on "Batman's Greatest Thrills" and the Joker makes a surprise appearance (story by William Woolfolk and art by Moldoff). Next, an industrial accident leaves the Caped Crusader transparent and as "The Invisible Batman" he must find a way to appear in court to send a career criminal back to jail (story by Woolfolk and art by Len Schwartz).

Photographer Vicki Vale gets her wish when, for political reasons, the Darknight Detective must agree to make her the "Bride of Batman" (drawn by Dick Sprang). Then, a trio of crooks called the Gimmick Gang hide out in disguise as figures from history and myth in the "City of Ancient Heroes" and it's up to Batman and Robin to bring them to justice (written by Bill Finger with art by Moldoff). Every move the caped crime-fighters make is secretly watched by "The Man Who Shadowed Batman" (story by Ed Herron and art by Sprang). And finally, enjoy a complete Sunday newspaper syndicated story of our heroes out West to stop "Rustling on a Reservation" (written by Finger with art by Jack Burnley) and a sequence from a daily newspaper syndicated strip pitting them once more against the Clown Prince of Crime!
