DOC SAMSON (1996) #3 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Doc Samson (1996) #3
Guest-starring the Punisher. "Copycats" is written by Dan Slott and Evan Skolnick and drawn by Roberto Flores, Andrew Wildman, Brad Vancata and Ralph Cabrera. Part of the Marvel Edge imprint, this story of Dr. Leonard Samson epitomizes what so many comics were trying to do in the early to mid-1990s: fill each issue with as much titillation and violence as possible and when sales flag, bring in a popular guest-star. In this story, the mutated serial killer called Patchwork continues to kidnap and kill beautiful women with green eyes in his twisted effort to piece together the perfect mate.

Doc Samson and the sexy, young heroine named Geiger are hot on the killer's trail and they know they are getting close when Geiger's innate ability to imitate gamma-powers kicks in, turning her savage when she's near Patchwork. But when they encounter the killer in the sewers, they are overcome by his speed and power and consequently can't stop him from murdering a jogger he's taken hostage. In despair, Samson quits the case, preferring to leave it to the police. But before he can leave town, the Punisher fires a few hundred bullets his way to change his mind!
