DEADLINE (2002) #2 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Deadline (2002) #2
"Come with me. I need you." And with those words heard in a dream, Daily Bugle reporter Katherine Farrell knows that her fascination with the mysterious vigilante known only as the Judge has reached the level of obsession. The rest of her life has retained its normalcy; her modest apartment, changing her nicotine patch, obnoxious co-workers. But her story has taken on its own life. Who has been killing super-villains? If it is the Judge and he is Michael Hart, the justice who vanished after his wife's death, then why is doing it? Katherine seeks out answers from Dr. Pow, the doctor willing to perform surgery on injured super-villains without notifying the police. His advice? "An angry spirit is loose in this city. Do not cross his path."

But relentless and the ability to doggedly pursue a story are what makes for a good reporter and Katherine moves on to Hart's building doorman and to the infamous Bar With No Name, where costumed criminals congregate to throw back a few between clashes with super-do gooders. From Bullseye, Daredevil's old sparring buddy, Katherine learns that just about every crook in a cape wanted Hart dead. How then is she going to learn the Judge's secrets? A quick check in with the Fixer provides an important clue. But when Katherine gets death threats from one of Kingpin's creepiest cronies, will she live long enough to get her story? Bill Rosemann is the writer with Guy Davis (Sandman Mystery Theatre) on pencils.
