Description This Issue:
This is a promotional comic included for free with an issue of HERO ILLUSTRATED magazine. It was designed to introduce comics fans to the concept that Dark Horse Presents #100 was going to be issued with five different covers and interiors. The staff at Dark Horse Publishing implemented this unusual marketing plan after they found that they had far too much material to fit into even a giant-sized issue. So they broke the material up into five issues, which they then released weekly. This special advance edition features a wrap-around front cover by Mike Allred. Interior: "Eno and Plum" story and art by Terry LaBan; excerpt from "Concrete: The Artistic Impluse" story and art by Paul Chadwick; excerpt from "Fat Dog Mendoza: The Secret Life of Leftovers" story and art by Scott Musgrove; "Pistachio" story and art by Paul Pope; excerpt from "Bird Dog" story by Ed Brubaker, art by Pat McEown; excerpt from "The Ninth Land" story and art by Renee French; excerpt from "Hellboy" story and art by Mike Mignola.
