DAREDEVIL (1964) (#1-380) (MAN WITHOUT FEAR) (MARVEL) #22 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Daredevil (1964) #22
"The Tri-Man Lives!" is written by Stan Lee and drawn by Gene Colan, Frank Giacoia and Dick Ayers. Kill Daredevil! That's the mantra New York City's underworld chants to itself. The leadership of the Maggia, an international crime cartel, awaits for the thug who makes that wish a reality. But the Man Without Fear is not so easy to snuff out. Like so many before him, the insidious Owl has just tried and failed. Even the birdy baddy's mechanical owl ship couldn't take out old DD. Left for dead high in the sky, our hero rides the out-of-control craft in for a safe landing and immediately starts scouring the Big Apple for its creator, the Owl.

But even as old Hornhead gives up his search as fruitless, two other costumed crooks are looking to impress the Maggia by taking out old DD. The Masked Marauder and the Gladiator have individually and as a team tried and failed to destroy our swashbuckling hero. But with the power of the Tri-Man, an android that combines the strength, agility and intelligence of three evil men, the villainous pair hope to win the leadership of the Maggia. Challenging Daredevil to a fight in the center ring of Madison Square Garden, the Tri-Man just might be the foe DD cannot defeat. For as hard as he tries, his success doesn't matter. The Masked Marauder singles out Foggy Nelson and Karen Page in the audience and threatens their lives unless DD surrenders his.
