DAREDEVIL (1964) (#1-380) (MAN WITHOUT FEAR) (MARVEL) #20 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Daredevil #20
"The Verdict is Death!" is written by Stan Lee with art by Gene Colan. If you think some of court trials are rigged, wait until you see the twisted justice meted out by the insidious Owl. It starts when Daredevil catches three thugs lying in wait in Matt Murdock's law office. Sent to kidnap Murdock, the crooks take a beating and then scram for the blind attorney's apartment. DD beats them there and returns to his civilian identity to try to find out what their scheme might be. While Matt is taken on a clandestine plane ride, Karen Page and Foggy Nelson grow increasingly concerned about his absence and Foggy senses Karen's emotions are much more than worry.

Then, on an all-but deserted island, the Owl begins his miscarriage of justice by insisting Murdock defend the judge who last sent him to jail in a mock trial. With a cadre of thieves and murderers as a jury, the verdict seems inevitable. That is until Murdock calls his first witness--the swinging swashbuckler known as Daredevil! A slugfest ensues and DD holds his own for a good while until the Owl springs one of his famous traps. And suddenly, all seems doomed for DD! Colan's first appearance as Daredevil's artist launched an artistic love affair that lasted decades! Don't miss his dynamic action poses in this Silver Age classic!
