Plot Synopsis: Crypt of Shadows #10
Four frightful flights of fancy from the Marvel House of Ideas. First off "The Man in the Tank," brought to you by Bil Everett, tells the story of a chiseling drifter who likes taking advantage of innocent small towns. That is, until one day when the law catches up with him and he finds that, just like the rat he is, you can only run so far before you're exterminated. George Tuska draws "You Can't Touch Bottom" about a shoplifter with a bottomless pocket in which to hide any evidence. When a greedy scientist becomes convinced the jacket is a portal to another world, he finds the pocket is so empty that it hungers!
"A Scream in the Dark" takes a normally romantic ride through the Tunnel of Love and twists it into a dark tale of justice served cold. A two-timing woman and her gigolo boyfriend find the future holds terror enough for two. Finally, in "Devil's Island," drawn by Paul Reinman, Suzette is a gold-digging French girl who can get men to give any jewel she wants. But alas, she picks one man who offers her the biggest pearl in the world. If Suzette accepts, he'll be the only man in her life, for the brief time she lives, that is.
