Plot Synopsis: Captain America (1997) #50
Final issue. 'Nuff Said month continues. A laid off executive finds he's unable to buy his wife the pendant she wants for Christmas, or toys for his kids or face the bills he cannot pay. But all of his problems are suddenly dwarfed as he's caught in the middle of a titanic battle between Cap and the fantastic Absorbing Man. Bereft of cash, the fired worker finds he's rich in spirit as he helps the Star-Spangled Avenger win the day. "Silent Night, Silent Morning" was written and drawn by Dan Jurgens. Read the plot summary following the tale.

Next, in "Keep in Mind," a World War II vet remembers how inspiring Cap was to the troops in the European theater as Steve Rogers returns to the shores of France for a little reminiscing of his own. Kathryn Kuder writes while Stuart Immonen draws. Dan Jurgens returns to write and pencil "To the Core," a introspective yet action-packed look into the psyche of the Living Legend of World War II. John Romita, Ron Frenz, Bruce Timm, Rick Veitch, Tom Palmer, Sal Buscema, Mike Zeck and Al Gordon join in reliving some of Cap's glory days. Finally, "Relics" shows the Star-Spangled Avenger in perhaps his last battle against a horde of Red Skulls bent on atomic destruction. When it's over, will Cap ever return? Brian David-Marshall writes with Igor Kordey penciling.
