Plot Synopsis: Avengers (2010) #3
The Heroic Age continues! Written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by John Romita Jr. and Klaus Janson. Time has come unstuck thanks to the lethal actions of a group of Avengers' heirs in the future who execute the chrono-tyrant Immortus for his crimes against humanity. Kang the Conqueror has come from the future to warn the Avengers that they must stop their prot‚g‚s before the entire space-time continuum is threatened. However, the Avengers and their newest recruit Noh-Varr the Protector have their hands full when out of nowhere the mutant overlord Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen appear.

Battling high over the heads of Manhattanites, our heroes know this battle is a mere distraction from the real threat. So as soon as he can extricate himself from the conflict, Iron Man isolates Apocalypse and tries to discern what he can about what time period the mutant master comes from. Soon, however, the demonic avatars disappear as quickly as they appeared and the Avengers turn back to the task of trying to fix the future. While Iron Man, the Protector, Wolverine and Captain America travel forward in time, Hawkeye, Thor, Spider-Man and Spider-Woman deal with the temporal havoc unleashed on New York City and find themselves face to face with Killraven and Devil Dinosaur!
