ASTONISHING X-MEN (2004) (#1-68) (MARVEL)(JOSS WHENDON) #21 VARIANT - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Astonishing X-Men (2004) #21
Written by Joss Whedon with art by John Cassaday. The alien race populating Breakworld believe the ancient prophecy that a mutant from Earth would be their destroyer and they've identified that mutant as the X-Men's own Colossus. So in order to stave off this threat, they aimed a doomsday missile at our planet with the intent of destroying our world first. However, the X-Men, with the help of Agent Brand of S.W.O.R.D. (the Sentient Worlds Observation and Response Department), have traveled to Breakworld to keep their eyes off Earth.

Upon entering the atmosphere of the Breakworld, the X-Men were forced to split up and faced their own challenges. Kitty Pryde and Colossus have come across an ancient temple with sacred art that appears to corroborate the prophecy. However, they encounter one inhabitant of Breakworld who isn't convinced the crisis Colossus brings is necessarily a bad thing for his people. Meanwhile, the hunter Kruun enlists the aid of Danger, the sentient life-form that sprang from the X-Men's Danger Room, to seek out and kill any of the mutants she encounters!
