ASTONISHING X-MEN (2004) (#1-68) (MARVEL)(JOSS WHENDON) #19 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Astonishing X-Men (2004) #19
The Breakworld is an alien culture convinced that one day an Earthman, an X-Man, will come and destroy their planet and their civilization. Their soothsayers have identified that prophesied destroyer as the X-Men's own Colossus. And so Ord was dispatched to scout out and destroy the mutant before he could carry out the pre-destined act. However, S.W.O.R.D., the international agency dedicated to fighting off intergalactic threats, has interfered and has grabbed up Colossus and several his mutant friends in a desperate attempt to stop Breakworld from destroying the Earth.

Meanwhile, Kitty Pryde is still smarting from the imagined betrayal of Colossus she experienced during a particularly vivid fantasy projected into her mind by Cassandra Nova. Will this prove a barrier to powerful for either Shadowcat to pass through or Colossus to smash through; keeping them apart forever? There's little time for romantic concerns, however, as Breakworld's forces sweep in to attack! Written by Joss Whedon and drawn by John Cassaday.
