Plot Synopsis: Four-issue series, color, 32 pages, $2.50 cover
Very engrossing story about yet another mad scientist (this one's also a sadist) on yet another lonely research station. When inspectors from the home office come to check out his work, they find an excess of synths, and a mysterious deficit in the on-board hive's egg count. The synths are the actual stars of this story, with Jeri the artificial Alien leading the way. This tale bears many gross similarities with previous stories, but the ending shows a sense of humor that is quite unique. Story by John Arcudi, pencils by Doug Mahnke, inking in issue one by Doug Mahnke, issues two through four by Jimmy Palmiotti. Covers by Doug Mahnke.
