ALIENS: SALVATION (DARK HORSE) (MIGNOLA) (1993) #1 - Descriptive Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: One-shot, color, 48 pages, $4.95 cover, perfect-bound
Very possibly the best Aliens comic ever produced. An absolutely All-Star cast, with Dave Gibbons (the artist of MARTHA WASHINGTON GOES TO WAR) in the unusual role of writer,. Mike Mignola, who now is gaining fame for his fantastic HELLBOY, is the penciller, and Kevin Nowlan does a great job of inking. The plot involoves the wreck of a freighter carrying Aliens on a prmitive planet. One of the two survivors is a deeply religious young man who goes through incredible torment as he tries to stay alive. But as he discovers the truth of how he came to be on the planet he slowly begins to lose touch with reality. This is a case where the art and the story mesh particularly well. Cover by Mike Mignola
