GREEN LANTERN (1960) (#1-224) (DC) #40 - Bibliography

Plot Synopsis: Green Lantern #40
Have you ever had a sibling, or a good friend, close to you in many ways but still just different enough so that your familiarity with them can breed a disturbing undercurrent of hostility? That's what happens here as Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Earth-1, and Alan Scott, the Green Lantern of Earth-2, square off against each other with power rings blazing in an arena of starlit space.

What could turn these two allies, fellow crusaders in pursuit of intergalactic peace, on each other? Nothing less than a secret so deadly, so potent, that its revelation could spell the end of all existence. At the behest of the powerful Guardians of Oa, Green Lantern must dual Green Lantern for the fate of the universe.

If you read Crisis on Infinite Earths or you want to know more about the very origins of the DC Universe and the Guardians of Oa, this is your comic. Here, embellished by the dramatic plot of John Broome and the graceful pencils of the late, great Gil Kane, is revealed the terrible consequences of a quest for knowledge gone horribly wrong and the events that led up to the creation of the Green Lantern Corps itself.
